SEC Upgrades EDGAR for Mandatory Series and Class (Contract) Identifiers

On Monday, February 6, 2006, the Securities & Exchange Commission released changes to the EDGAR system in compliance with rules which make Series and Class (Contract) Identifiers mandatory in submission headers of certain investment management form types.

The upgrades to EDGAR Ease+ and EDGAR Ease released today bring users completely up-to-date with all changes released on Monday by the SEC.

Investment management filers impacted by this week's rule changes should also read an important announcement posted on the SEC's website at: http://www.sec.gov/info/edgar/ednews/seriesclassnotice.htm. It contains detailed information regarding how the SEC is implementing the rule changes, including what investment management filers who failed to obtain their mandatory Series and Class (Contract) Identifiers by the February 6 deadline will need to do to obtain assistance from SEC staff.
